The Tom Thumb Weymouth bit applies even pressure to the tongue, chin groove and lips for comfort, and is designed with a fixed cheek so it won't move around in the horse's mouth. This bit is ideal for horses that are new to this type of bit, and those with thin skin that may be prone to pinching. The shank of the Weymouth bit is shorter than the standard Weymouth, making the action less severe, while the size of the Bradoon bit should be 1/4" or 1/2" larger than the Weymouth.
