Hilton Herbs Himalayan Salt Licks for Horses and Ponies are mined from the Khewra Salt Mines at the foot of the Himalayan mountains in Pakistan. These ancient deposits, dating back 550 million years, are one of the purest forms of salt (sodium chloride) available and are ethically sourced from an accredited supplier. Our Himalayan Salt Licks are rock hard and are more weather-resistant than softer 'pressed' salt licks, making them perfect for horses and ponies to "help themselves" in the stable, shelter or field. Our licks also contain other essential trace elements such as potassium, magnesium and iron, which gives them their distinctive rose pink colour.
