TopSpec High Fibre Mash 20kg

A high-fibre, low-calorie mash that is cereal-grain-free, low in sugar and starch and described by TopSpec as non-heating. It soaks in just five minutes in cool or warm water.

Ideal for

• Good doers, especially those that need a bigger-looking feed
• Horses and ponies that need a low sugar and starch mash
• Use as a partial hay replacer
• Extra hydration, for example away from home or in winter
• Horses that struggle to chew, or that won't eat low-sugar chops
• Carrying supplements, balancers or medication

How to prepare

Mix 2 parts water to 1 part dry mash and leave for 5 minutes. Adding more water lowers the calories in each scoop of soaked mash.

FAQ

Do I need a balancer with it?
Yes. It has no added vitamins or trace elements, so feed it with a TopSpec feed balancer or All-in-One.

Is it suitable for laminitis-prone horses?
It is low calorie and low in sugar and starch, but TopSpec doesn't make a laminitis claim for it. Ask your vet or TopSpec's nutritionists.

High Fibre Mash or Linseed Mash?
High Fibre Mash is the low-calorie option. Linseed Mash (13 MJ/kg) is for horses needing weight gain and coat condition.
