TopSpec UlsaKind Cubes 20kg

A non-heating conditioning cube designed for horses prone to gastric ulcers. TopSpec says it can also be fed to horses under veterinary care. It is cereal-grain-free, low in starch and sugar and high in fibre, but still conditioning at 12 MJ/kg.

• Very high levels of beta-glucans, which TopSpec says form a gel that coats the stomach lining
• Added pectin, which thickens in stomach acid
• 1% of a marine-derived ingredient (maerl) that TopSpec says helps maintain a healthy stomach pH

FAQ

Do I need a balancer with it?
Yes. UlsaKind has no added vitamins or trace elements. It is designed to be fed with a TopSpec feed balancer or All-in-One.

Is it a treatment for ulcers?
No. It is a feed for ulcer-prone horses, not a medicine. Ulcers need diagnosis and treatment by your vet, and forage-based management alongside.

Is it suitable for laminitis-prone or overweight horses?
It is low in starch but conditioning, so it isn't designed for good doers or laminitis-prone horses. Ask your vet or TopSpec's helpline.

How much do I feed?
Adjust to condition and workload. In TopSpec's example for a 500kg horse, up to 1.5kg per feed is used with a feed balancer.
